Carnelian

This stone CAPTIVATES like the brilliance of a sunset and the fire in a sunrise. It also reminds us of impending change in the near future, with the colors often resembling the changing of autumn leaves. Carnelian coloring varies from light, gentle orange-ish pink to rusty reds and auburns. Its name is derived from a Latin word meaning “flesh” and has been associated with the “fertile menstrual blood of the goddess Isis.” It is traditionally worn to enhance love, passion and desire in any loving relationship, but especially those that may require some rekindling. It is also known for it’s ability to assist timid speakers be bold and eloquent; often referred to as the “Singer’s Stone,” igniting the fire inside of us to use our inner voices to project our deepest gifts to the world.
